Asher University – Admission Requirements

Welcome to Asher University! We’re excited you’re considering pursuing your academic goals with us. This page outlines the general admission requirements for our various programs: Post-Graduate Diploma (PGD), Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree, and Doctorate (PhD).

General Application Requirements

All applicants, regardless of program, must submit the following:

  • Completed Online Application: Submit your application through our user-friendly online portal.
  • Official Transcripts: Send official transcripts from all previously attended institutions. It can be waived.
  • Statement of Purpose: In a well-written essay, explain your academic and professional goals and why Asher University is a good fit for you.
  • Letters of Recommendation: Depending on the program, you may need one or two letters of recommendation from professors or employers who can speak to your qualifications.

Program-Specific Requirements

Post-Graduate Diploma (PGD)

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Possess a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited institution in a relevant field.
  • Work Experience: 5 years and above work experience in a relevant field qualifies for our Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) evaluation for credits.

Bachelor’s Degree

  • High School Diploma, Secondary School Certificate or Equivalent: Submit proof of high school graduation through a diploma or certificate.
  • Work Experience: 5 years and above work experience in a relevant field qualifies for our Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) evaluation for credits. Work experience also counts towards our degree by portfolio evaluation.
  • Open Course Credits: We accept credits earned from Coursera, Udemy, Alison and similar MOOC platforms for degree completion.
  • Statement of Purpose: Tell us your reason for enrolling in the program and what you intend to achieve after graduation.

Master’s Degree

  • Bachelor’s Degree: Hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
  • Work Experience: 5 years and above work experience in a relevant field qualifies for our Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL) evaluation for credits. Work experience also counts towards our degree by portfolio evaluation.
  • Open Course Credits: We accept post-graduate credits earned from Coursera, Udemy, Alison and similar MOOC platforms for our Master’s degree completion.
  • Statement of Purpose: Tell us your reason for enrolling in the program and what you intend to achieve after graduation.

Doctorate (PhD)

  • Master’s Degree: Possess a Master’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
  • Research Experience: Most PhD programs require evidence of strong research skills and experience, often through research papers or publications.
  • Statement of Purpose: Tell us your reason for enrolling in the program and what you intend to achieve after graduation.

International Students

Asher University welcomes applications from international students! No language barrier. We will tailor the program to suit your spoken and written languages. And help you with translation. A local supervisor may be attached to you that understands your local dialect.
